McDowell County’s GIS Online Map Viewer may come in handy if you’re interested in parcel info on the west side of Linville Gorge. It doesn’t include imagery like Burke County GIS, so for that you may want to try the LGMAPS Collection for Google Earth, or if you’re really ambitious and want high resolution image files go straight to NC OneMap, where Burke County gets their orthos.
