November’s regular Monday FMST work days were canceled due to weather. A substitute date is now set for November 16. Note this is not the same event as the December 12 work day, also at Wolfpit.
Doug’s announcement is below:
We are planning a TRAIL DAY ON MST FOR MONDAY NOV 16th (this is what we were planning to do on Nov 9th). Looking at going to Shortoff Mtn. Will go in Wolfpit to MST junction and work back down ridge towards Linville River and will come out on Linville River (Blue Dot) Connector Trail back to Hwy 126. About 6 miles total of hiking
We will be trimming mostly and cleaning out water diversions. Possibly some blazing also.
PLAN TO MEET AT K-MART MORGANTON AT 8:30 AM or JUNCTION OF WOLFPIT RD AND HWY 126 at 8:50*****
WE WILL SHUTTLE CARS DOWN TO GATE ON 126 WHERE BLUE DOT/LINVILLE CONNECTOR COMES OUT
Bring a daypack, gloves, lunch, fluids (rec 2 liters) and snacks.
