Now as the area moved into the cold grays and browns of winter the look is totally different, not unpleasant, just a different appearance to the greens of spring and summer and warm reds, yellows and oranges of autumn. The crowds of just a few weeks are gone also, leaving behind some semblance of solitude along the ridges and trails into the valley along the river. A time when you can clearly hear the woodland creatures and the soft rumble of the river instead of the rattle of bouncing vehicles along the road and\/or the hollering, screaming hoards of the other three seasons.
