Respite. During the hike up the trail from Wolfpit, I paused along the trail to catch my breath while absorbing the view of Lake James at the foot of the mountain. Always a beautiful sight as you gain altitude, especially in the early hours of the morning, or late in the day as the sun begins to set behind the mountains creating strong contrast of the shoreline.
