SAWS Finishes Fall Season

Southern Appalachian Wilderness Stewards (SAWS) fall 2015 crew has completed their third and last hitch in Linville Gorge.  They report a total of 327 fallen trees removed from the trail corridor during their fall season, mostly on the Linville Gorge Trail from the Babel Tower junction to the southern terminus.  They also cleared some huge trees on Conley Cove as we saw on September 16th.

Their final hitch was during the recent rain, but they stuck it out and finished with style.  Hope to see them again next year.
